Someone else here pointed out that the findings about Gen Z are somewhat incorrect. Cynical and love roasting Millennials? Sure. But experts have pointed out that Gen Z is the demographic pushing safety-ism on campuses and don't believe in debate or free speech because it can be triggering and offend them. Or that words can actually be "violence" if it offends them ***giant eye roll*** They seem to care deeply, and a little too deeply. The book, The Coddling of the American Mind, by Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haidt explicitly shows trends among Gen Z using experts and data to show just how they're embracing this. They, just like some Millennials, want to embrace the police state of safety and comfort, not to watch the world burn.
