Shannon, as a fellow Gen X’er (or Xennial, whatever the hell those of us caught in between really are) I feel like we began the restless leg syndrome of job options and dating with our inherent skepticism and cynicism to a degree. Since I was young, I’ve also claimed I’m a cynic at heart, so to hear our parents profess the job stability option, only to grow restless made us resistant and skeptical (a pure Gen X move). But as I’ve grown older there’s a purity to staying the course. A good cup of ground coffee at home is my favorite. I like a standard old-fashioned as opposed to some new cocktail tearing up the internet that I have to try. I even went back to bar soap that smells like my grandad after years of loofas and body wash, ha. I think I see the simplicity and beauty in committing to something and staying the course, and when it comes to relationships, I’ve only seen that beauty deepen. Thanks for ready and the thoughts :)
