I have indeed read and know of Victor Frankl and his work from Man’s Search for Meaning. I remember reading Freud and his analysis of how he said men will pursue pleasure above all things. But when I read Frankl and his analysis and critique of Freud, it made more sense. People pursue purpose above all things, and when they don’t have that, they’ll numb it with pleasure. That really stood out to me. Like you, God became the cornerstone and gave me purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. However, I think one of the things that helped me land there was the space to wrestle. Many Christians and other religions do not allow that, yet the wrestle is essential to faith as it is with anything a person believes.
