Hi Kathleen! I should point out this is only an excerpt from one section of a book I’ve written on depression and doesn’t encompass the rest of what’s talked about. I worked with a professional mental health counselor who reviewed the entirety of the book and changed and added sections where needed. You can review her background here, but should know she has more doctorates than most people I’ve seen and spent 14 years counseling in maximum security prisons. In the actual workbook, we tackle a lot more than just acedia, but since most people don’t know about it and affects a large swath of people, I decided to post this section as opposed to others, which—obviously—struck a chord with a lot of men and women. I hope this explains the situation a little more!
