Dr. Rob, agreed. The more I’ve studied church history there always seems a deep schism between those in it for more of the religious aspects and those trying to live and understand the Gospel. Those who love the religion see it as a means ranging from behavioral modification, life hacking to achieve a sense of peace, money, power, philosophy, and control. Those whose focus is to truly example the risen Messiah end up the fringe as you said, and often are slandered and persecuted and fall neither to the left or the right, are not overly concerned with politics, and seek to transform a world and love their fellow man. We are small, but when you discover the hidden treasure in the field, it’s worth selling everything to buy the field. Best to you.
